Five ways an order gets paid
QR-to-pay
Staff pick QR at the counter; the customer scans and pays on their own phone. No terminal needed.
Pay-by-link
The same hosted page delivered by SMS or email. Used for pay-later counter orders and for unpaid locker orders at the ready step.
Card on file at book-in
Locker customers who saved a card are charged when staff finalise the order at the plant. The locker reveal goes out as soon as the webhook confirms.
Card on file on delivery
Door-to-door orders charge when the driver taps Mark delivered. Receipt follows automatically.
Cash
Recorded as a succeeded payment with zero platform fee. The order flows exactly like a card order.
Refunds
Full and partial refund states per payment, issued through the payments API with manager approval. A dedicated refund screen is a listed follow-up.
How the money moves
You onboard as a connected account on Airwallex Payments for Platforms during signup. Card payments settle to that account and our share, a configurable number of basis points per operator, is split off before settlement. There is no invoice from us at month end. Card processing is at market rate; our share sits inside the card fee.

Do I need a card terminal?
No. QR-to-pay and pay-by-link work from day one with no hardware. If you already have a terminal you can keep using it and record the payment on the order.
What is the processing rate?
Market rate through Airwallex. Our platform share is set per operator in basis points and shown in your settings. CleanCloud publishes 2.25% plus $0.20 in the US for comparison.
Can I set up subscriptions or monthly accounts?
Not yet. Card on file covers automatic charging per order. Recurring billing and account statements for commercial customers are on the roadmap.
Where do I see what you took?
The platform admin shows both revenue lines per store, and every payment carries the split amount in its record.
